Regularly, COLTENE sends dental materials to the University of Munich to support students who take part in global charity projects.
At the beginning of the year, four students in their 9th semester travelled to Tonga. With the materials of COLTENE they have been able to participate in several projects at different bases and help the population with restaurative therapies:
"We have been on different archipelagos that all belong to Tonga. For one and a half weeks we ware on Tongatapu, the main island, because there is the "main clinic", the vaiola hospital.
In Vava'u we were 10 days, in Hapai one week and in Eua three days before we went to Tongatapu again for 2 days. We have treated self-employed everywhere, but there was always a doctor who was our supervisor and helped with ambiguities or language barriers. We have treated a lot of patients and have been able to collect valuable experiences."
